Northern Nevada Medical Center (NNMC) is a 108-bed community hospital that rests on a majestic hillside encompassing 23 acres on the southeastern side of Sparks, just minutes from downtown Reno. With seven floors and 151,000 square feet of space as well as two adjacent medical buildings, the hospital has kept up with the rapid growth of the community by continually expanding. Most recently, our Emergency Department expanded from eight to 18 beds to accommodate our new neighbors. The certified Level-III Emergency Department currently serves more than 24,000 patients a year.
The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and is licensed by the state of Nevada.We provide 500 staff physicians with access to the latest in technological innovations for the diagnosis and treatment of most acute clinical conditions. Since we opened our doors in 1983, Northern Nevada Medical Center has been owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS) — one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare management companies.
